Hunt seat riding is a type of forward seat riding and based on the tradition of fox hunting. Hunt seat style allows the rider’s mirroring of the horse’s movement to help balance the horse taking the field and fence comfortably.

Summer Breeze Stables’ Summer Camp
Summer Breeze Camp is a great way to jump-start your skills in riding and caring for a horse. During the week of camp, campers learn horsemanship and horse care for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders ages 5 to 16. Our camps are a great place for young riders to develop responsibility, gain knowledge, and enjoy outdoor exercise. Campers are always under the careful supervision of trained counselors.
Of course, we ride horses, but we have a range of other activities for our daily sessions. Guest presenters use classroom discussion, films, and hands-on practice to teach knowledge of minor horse ailments, elementary horse anatomy, horse riding show protocol and tradition, saddlery, and shoeing.
Campers Are To Bring The Following:
- Packed Lunch
- Riding boot with a heel
- Pants for riding and shorts to change into
- Bathing suit, oil-free sunscreen, and towel, sneakers, and flip flops
- For safety we provide helmets with safety harnesses
